POV: A sculpture needs a little change of scenery. 👀

Our crew makes moving a big sculpture look easy. However, moving a piece across the park does take some careful planning, loading, driving and a whole lot of care.

A huge thank you to Julien Robson for so graciously giving our staff a tour of the Mary and Al Shands Art Preserve at Great Meadows during our staff professional development day! ✨

We couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon together—soaking up the Kentucky sunshine, learning from Julien, and spending time surrounded by some truly incredible works of art. 🌿🎨

We’re grateful for the opportunity to step away from our usual day-to-day, learn together, and be inspired by the incredible art and people that made it. 💚

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Our furry friends are always welcome at Josephine Sculpture Park! Bring your pup out for a walk and explore our 2 miles of trails, sculptures, meadows, and woodlands together. 🌿🐶

All we ask is that you keep your dog leashed and clean up after them. We have dog waste bags available near the parking lot to make it easy to leave no trace. 💚

Grab the leash, pack some water, and come enjoy a walk at the park with your best friend! 🐕✨

🌿 Pawpaw season is HERE! 💚👀

It’s time to check your trees because these little native Kentucky treasures are ready to harvest—and ours were ready early! 🥭🍌

This is the first-ever pawpaw harvest at Josephine Sculpture Park, and our staff has had so much fun checking on our trees each week, watching the fruit grow, and waiting for the big moment. You can find our pawpaw trees tucked into 𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒉𝒐-𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕 here at the park.

And now we finally get to taste them! 🤤 Our pawpaws are giving us notes of banana, mango, tropical fruit, and something uniquely pawpaw. Have you ever tried a native Kentucky pawpaw?! What do you think they taste like? 👇

We had the honor and privilege of unveiling Ceirra “CD“ Evans’ newest sculpture, 𝑹𝒆𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏, on Saturday. ❤️ Angel Ballew LaToya Drake Robin WEWC

It was a truly special evening, hearing from the incredible panel of women Ceirra brought together to talk about what it means to be neighbors, build tables, feed our communities, and bring greater awareness to food deserts across Kentucky.

This powerhouse group of women is doing important work across our state to strengthen the communities they call home—and beyond. We’re grateful to Ceirra for creating a space where these conversations, stories, and connections could come together around Reunion.

Now it’s your turn to experience it! Come out to Josephine Sculpture Park, bring a picnic, and spend some time with Reunion, our newest sculpture. 🌱🍽️✨

Ceirra’s residency was made possible through Kentucky Foundation for Women
