Today I visited the Henry County Heritage Trust to look at their Sheaffer collection related to the plant located in Mount Pleasant from 1946 until 1959. This Sheaffer deal is found on the back of a 1960s Kellogg’s Corn Flakes box. With two box tops from either a box of Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies, one could purchase a fountain pen or automatic pencil for just $1.000. After collecting box tops and filling out the order form at the bottom right of the box, one could select a red, blue, green, grey, or black pen or pencil. Did anyone ever take part in this offer?
