Merrily Varone, (3rd from left) one of the featured artists this month as part of the Village Art Show. stopped in the Gallery today with a group of woman to show them some of her artwork. It wasn't long before we realized that they were all sisters! There are six girls and six boys in her family, absolutely incredible! We really enjoyed their company and from here they were on their way to the Fitchburg Art Museum.

The Boulder Art Gallery has a nice selection of vintage art from listed and collectible artists, and this couple was pleased to find this rare matching miniature set of oil paintings by Harry Hambro Howe. Howe was a marine artist who was born in Buckfield, Maine on August 16, 1886 and his work is highly sought after by collectors today.

It was the perfect opening reception at the Boulder Art Gallery for the show, “Three Artist's View of Nature” featuring artists Martha Totten, Merrily Varone, and Iphigenia Burg. We had a fantastic turnout of friends, and family, with the added bonus of live music by Eddy Troxler, and a surprise poetry reading by Eleanor Gamarsh. A huge thanks to Iphie Burg and her "Village Art Show" for organizing the event!

What a great turnout the Boulder Art Gallery had for Paul Gaj's closing reception and show. A great mix of friends, family, and music by Bob Jordan added so much to the event. On an exciting note, Paul's "silent auction" piece, America the Beautiful, was sold. A huge thanks to Iphie Burg and her "Village Art Show" for organizing the event!

Sometimes, an artist's painting can remind us of fond times and memories spent with family and friends, and finding the right piece of art can bridge the gap between yesterday and today. Paul Gaj's painting, "Nauset" recently found a new home when a customer recognized it as a location that was near and dear to her heart, a painting that captures life's best moments. Such is the case with this painting of Nauset Beach in Eastham, MA.
