We had a great time on August 1st and 8th making art with our recycled materials at our Project Upcycle workshops for children. We’re including a few pictures taken at the workshops and when others stopped by in the weeks after and helped complete the group projects (bottle caps flower and fish).

A huge thank you to the folks who showed up for a fun time and a special thanks to all of you who donated items for us to use. You really stepped up and brought us lots of materials that we were able to use.

Please come by to view our recycled art exhibit (August 28th -September 22nd) which showcases the two group pieces done at the workshops.

Happy to announce the opening of our new show, “Recycled Art Pivoted”! This exhibit was originally designed to highlight the group pieces completed by participants in our recent kids’ “Project Upcycle” workshops with additional artwork brought in by our community, using recycled materials. We adapted our plans for the recycled art exhibit and invited our members to contribute pieces made from or incorporating repurposed materials. This new format is an opportunity to share our creativity and celebrate the many ways everyday objects can be transformed into art.
The show will open this Fourth Friday, August 28th at 6pm. Please stop by to view this fun and colorful exhibit and enjoy creative works from area children and our members, August 28th through September 22nd.
