Motivation of the week: go ahead and doubt yourself and the entirety of your writing so far; but write anyway. Form the habit, and as you write more words that 100,000 word novel will emerge. Then you can make it better by using Grammarly and other spell checkers to correct the phonetic spelling and poor grammar as you learn better techniques to write well.

Yesterday I think I figured out what is making my main wip seem so hard. I need to make the map. My character keeps referring to it, it is necessary for him to see and describe at least the main parts so having the map with help solidify where everything is in relationship to the rest of the landscape. Problem is I have never seen many cave and mine maps from real life and I don’t like the look of the zelda dungeon maps (the only thing close) for what I have in mind. Does anyone have any recommendations for some inspiration?

After writing 200+ words for procrastination project I got back to my wip and typed up 3 pages worth I got done this week (most was done Friday at Starbucks) and today I am somewhat stuck again, but I did write on my procrastination project.
Do you guys/gals have a procrastination project (a project you don’t expect to publish but is just kinda fun and relaxing- might not even be a story) tell me about it! and does it help long term?
