Our board tossed around ideas, and officially chose our theme for our pop-up at Boo at the Zoo: BATS!
At Great Plains Children’s Museum, we often talk about building a museum for the community, with the community and we want that philosophy to show up even in our pop-ups. So this year, our Boo at the Zoo pop-up won’t simply be designed for children.
It’s going to be designed and built with them.
Over the next several weeks, the children at Muddy River Nature School will be helping us create pieces of the exhibit to help bring the whole idea to life.
Because if we’re building a children’s museum, who better to invite into the process than children themselves? 🤎
So while we’re behind the scenes untangling yarn, peeling glue off tables, and probably figuring out how paint splatter ended up somewhere paint splatter absolutely should not be… 😂 we’ll be sharing little glimpses of the exhibit as it comes together.
And we’d love to invite you to help build it with us, too. Our Amazon Wish List includes items that will help us make sure every child who stops by our Boo at the Zoo exhibit leaves with a little gift of their own.
Choosing an item from our Wish List is one simple way to help us bring the experience to life.
