Took the lovely bride to the closing day of the San Diego fair. She got to see the painting and sculpture exhibition and then the international photo competition. I’d donated 12 awards to some of the 4000 entries.
Do you need a nice calm picture for your living room wall, or something with a little more spice and action in it? We’ve got Both here at Seewald Galleries! ciao

"Double Bar, Salamanca, N. Spain, 1988." Sponsored by Dawn Dominicak. Some 70 world-wide trips ago. Feeling blessed! ;/)
Shout out a long time friend, and now collector, Dino Summers. She just added this wonderful Seewald painting titled “Dead Heat, Del Mar” to her collection. We just sold the bigger one, 4 x 5’, two weeks ago.
Our collector of many decades, Ty Caulfield Art, has started making his own art, and it's quite fantastic, as you can see. He makes his art from 'found' plywood, and lets the grain speak to him for the designs he creates. Well done Ty. Info on pricing on request. ;/)
Hana Maui.
It’s all about light, line, form, and centers of interest! Centers of interest are a bonus whereas light and form and line are not! Was blessed with learning the techniques by one of my college professors, and out of all of them only one really understood it thoroughly, as Michelangelo and da Vinci did. Once learned, it’s been practiced now for 40 years and built upon so much so that it’s won me many many accolades and ribbons over the decades! That’s just a bonus too. I have three day photo seminars coming up in Yosemite, Napa, San Diego, and Carmel, California. www.seewald.com for more info. I’ve also started private critique classes to help folks in competitions and help them win by picking their best images and going over how to perfect them. This helped some folks win too honors in competitions also. San Diego fair entry deadline coming up soon.

I find abstracts very interesting, even more so when done properly. Both in my photographic art, and in my paintings, it’s all about light, line, form, and centers of interest! Centers of interest are a bonus whereas light and form and line are not! With proper training, I could turn abstract thoughts into much sharper, thought processes on how to create very strong art. Was blessed with learning the technique by one of my college professors, and out of all of them only one really understood it thoroughly, as Michelangelo and da Vinci did. Once learned, it’s been practiced now for 40 years and built upon so much so that it’s won me many many accolades and ribbons over the decades! That’s just a bonus too. We scheduled another Yosemite class mid mid March. March 15 16th and 17th. Only $995 for all three days. Many masters are getting $3k and $4k for the same type class up to $10,000.
Join Michael for one of his 'fun-shops'! Students say they are too fun to be called 'workshops' (not that they are 'easy', lots of work to help students improve on all levels of composition and technical skills) so we call them 'fun-shops'. A full three days with Michael will end with this type of testimonial...
"Michael, Bottom line: The workshop (fun-shop) was priceless! As I told you when we were in the field, I've had a lot of workshops, and those ‘instructors’ basically just took us to pretty places. They answered questions if we asked, but that was about it. You actually taught, critiquing each image; explaining what was right, and wrong, with all my compositions, and why! And then showed me HOW TO FIX THEM, if they needed it, on the spot!
I will no longer need more ‘classes’, as with your help I now have a map on how to make strong art, from here on out. “
Again, thanks so much,
Manoj Jayadevan, Yosemite class of 2.27.2015
Intermediate level photographer, San Francisco, CA

First of all, can we stop using the word "liminal"? Bianca Bosker spent five years doing in-depth research for Get the Picture — an irreverent book about "strategic snobbery" in the art world.

Thank you, RICK and Charlotte of Solana Beach for adding another Seewald to your home. This Japanese image on Metal looks so nice out on your patio.
It’s a limited edition of 10 in this size, 50“ x 32”. Want to add it to your collection? 🤙🤙
Artists. Does your art make people yawn? Well, let’s get with the program and change that! 🙂 Take an exciting three day A-to-Z compositional/technical workshop with Michael. He’ll help you develop a winning attitude towards your art, and if you should want to start selling it, or even open your own gallery, you’ll be closer to accomplishing your goals. Many of his students have.
Upcoming Seewald 3 day AtoZ photo workshops in Yosemite (March 1, 2 & 3), San Diego (Mar. 8, 9 and 10) and Carmel, California in June. Private classes available. Contact for more info and pricing or visit www.seewald.com
Bless a young Marine family!
Partner with Michael Seewald in blessing some young Marine families. Most hardly get paid enough to survive, even with on base housing. Our church, with many others in north San Diego county, have been doing that for many years, in that they get donations together of slightly used home goods, furniture, refrigerators, etc., and have a pick up center where it's all free for the taking!
It's our intent to get 'fine American citizens' to gift/bless many families with a wonderfully framed Seewald reproduction from his 70+ world-wide photographic adventures.
Gallery pricing is normally $189 for a framed piece, signed, matted, mounted and framed. But so we can bless as many Marine families as possible, we're discounting them to only $89.95, plus tax.
AND, if you'd like, we'll included your name in the title, along with Michael's name, or gift them anonymously.
We'll take a picture of the family with your gifted piece they'll receive, and send a copy to you.
Thanks for considering, just one would be nice, but a monthly commitment gift would be even better. We'd ring it up and you could cancel at any time. If you gift for an entire year we will BLESS YOU with an 11x14 original framed Seewald, of choice, valued at $1,000! Basically a refund in art! ;/)
So, partner with the Michael Seewald Galleries in blessing a young Marine family.
Let them know, visually, that some fine American citizens are fully behind them.
Thanks, and may God bless you and yours mightily for the gift YOU are,
Michael and Valerie Seewald

Niort France, another of over 100 images you can choose from, if you so wish, to bless a family with, or we'll pick one for you, there all award winners.

PS Originally the program
was thought up to bless the police,
as they are also under appreciated, but that turned out to be harder than we thought. They have
rules about the gifts they can receive. If we can work it out, you'll have a chance to bless whichever group you'd like! ;/) One of our collectors is Jerry Sanders, a former chief of San Diego Police, we'll contact him for more assistance. Fingers crossed. ;/)

With about a dozen trips to Hawaii, at a month each, you can bet there’s been a few masterpieces created. This was from a Big island series a few years back.

“Covered Market, Istanbul, Turkey, 1996”
When we (Valerie, my wife) first arrived in Istanbul around three in the morning the taxi driver had Valerie looking like the kid on ‘Home Alone’. Her hands were covering her ears and her mouth was wide open as we took corners through empty, eerily lit streets at 40 miles per hour to our downtown hotel. I knew the kid knew his taxi like the back of his hand but the wife knew something too, that we would surly die. Before continuing through the country exploring and creating we worked the city. We heard of an interesting ‘covered market’ that was blocks wide and blocks long with only a four entrances- this was one of them.
