Moonrise Under Oraibi~
On a windswept Hopi Mesa, sits the ancient village of Oraibi..
The oldest continuously inhabited Spiritual Community
on the continent. On the Horizon, I watched the Sun set.
Silhouetting this ancient place, I glanced in my car rear view mirror and saw our magnificent Mother Moon rising behind me.
This was the photographic challenge of that special evening.
No ”photoshop magic” with this one…
This photograph is all on one negative.
My tongue in cheek homage to Ansel Adams’ ”Moonrise Over Hernandez”

Going thru ancient images, I come across one of my favorites,
“Mark and the Sea’.. I made this when I was studying with Jerry Uelsmann. Marks figure and foreground dropped into larger sea scape.
