After a busy week of unpacking, installing, and preparing, we are putting the finishing touches on “1968: A Folsom Redemption.”

This traveling exhibit, presented in partnership with the Mid-America Arts Alliance, opens tomorrow and will be on display through October 23rd at the Gallery of History Museum.

🎶 The crates are here. The countdown is on. And Johnny Cash is coming to El Dorado!

Our upcoming traveling exhibit, “1968: A Folsom Redemption,” has officially arrived, and as you can see from these photos, our Curator, Darrin Riley, is very excited to start opening those crates!

An exhibit detailing Cash's performances is being presented by the the South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society and will be on display at the Gallery of History Museum's Murphy USA Rotating Exhibit Room, located at 412 E. Faulkner in El Dorado, from Sept. 1 through Oct. 23. There is free admission. Link in comments.

🎬 SAHPS Silver Screen Returns!

El Dorado — the vault is opening! Starting next Thursday, Aug 13 at 2pm, the South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society is bringing Hollywood's Golden Age back to the big screen in the Gallery of History (412 E. Faulkner).

We're kicking off with 3 Clark Gable classics from Michael G. Fitzgerald's legendary 900+ film collection — shown just like audiences saw them in the 1930s, with rare shorts & cartoons.
