At The 2nd Annual Great American Ice Cream Social, we are bringing back "Churn Back Time", our homemade ice cream competition celebrating the sweet traditions of summers past. Last year, contestants shared family recipes and creative flavors while guests sampled and voted for their favorites.

This year's Great American Ice Cream Social will once again feature homemade ice cream, live music, family activities, local vendors, and plenty of old fashioned Fourth of July fun at the historic Newton House (510 N. Jackson).

We look forward to welcoming friends, families, and ice cream lovers for another memorable Fourth of July at the Newton House!

The DeSoto Trace Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (DeSoto Trace Chapter ARSAR) have planted a commemorative Elm Tree at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium. On June 10, 2026, the public is invited to attend a ceremony at the Auditorium at 11 am.
