THANK YOU to everyone who came out for your first ever Melton on the Move box truck show yesterday!

We are blown away by the friends, family, and campus community who showed up to support our student artists and organizers.

We are already scheming of ways to continue unique student-led opportunities like this in the future. Stay tuned!

Meet our final featured senior in "A Shift in Nature" BFA Art Senior Capstone Exhibition:

Sydney Antkowiak-Jones
is a painter and artist born in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. Her work includes idealised detailed subjects such as nature
and animals. She uses recycled paint, and self made pigements with materials gathered from local environments. Gathering and processing these materials is an important part of her creation process. Antkowiak-Jones has recently been in a group show named Tulipmania in the Oklahoma Myriad Botanical Gardens and engages with the arts locally through her membership at the Edmond Fine Arts.

Sydney's work explores how often-overlooked animals like reptiles and amphibians play an important
role in nature, acting as biological indicators of environmental health.

Our opening reception is TONIGHT, April 30 from 5–7 p.m.

As always, refreshments are provided and complimentary parking is available in UCO Lot 7 (see parking map on last slide!)

Meet another one of our three featured artists in "A Shift In Nature" BFA Art Senior Capstone Exhibition:

Lauren Tarter is an artist and illustrator born, raised, and presently based in Oklahoma City. She has studied traditional art and illustration for 8 years. Tarter uses a variety of two-dimensional media, such as painting, drawing, and printmaking, to craft visual narratives. With a background in comics and creative writing, Tarter uses visual storytelling to explore the emotional ups and downs of life and to connect with others’ experiences through her own. Lauren Tarter also teaches art to elementary and middle school-aged children, sharing her love of stories and multimedia with the next generation.

Her capstone project "Traces of Blue" is displayed in the gallery. Join us for their reception tomorrow, April 30 from 5–7 p.m.!
