Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond in service to the East Bloomfield Historical Society? Each year, we honor one individual with the Lena Saxby Steele Service Award, named after one of our founders who helped shape the Society into what it is today.

This award recognizes someone who has made a substantial contribution to the Society, whether through a special project, a key event, or many years of dedicated service. The award will be presented at our Christmas Party on Saturday Dec. 5th

We have dolls... Lots of dolls. And while we can’t promise that any of them are haunted, we also can’t promise that they aren’t.

Of course, none of our dolls can hold a candle to Annabelle, the infamous Raggedy Ann doll associated with Ed and Lorraine Warren, made famous by the Conjuring movie franchise.

Join us on Thursday October 15th at 7pm to hear from Bloomfield's own Paul Hudson who will share stories of his personal experiences with Ed and Lorraine Warren, including the two weeks he spent traveling with them through England on a ghost-hunting adventure. And yes, he and his family saw the real Annabelle while visiting with the Warrens.

Don't worry... Annabelle won't be here. But her friends will.

You don’t have to believe in ghosts to be fascinated by the people who spend their lives looking for them.

On October 15, join us at the East Bloomfield Historical Society for a very unusual evening with Paul Hudson, who spent two weeks in England in the 1980s traveling with America's most famous Paranormal Investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The relationship continued over the years...Paul and his family visited Warren's home in Connecticut, and the Warrens even spent a night at Paul’s home right here in Bloomfield.

Come hear the stories behind the stories: the investigations, the personalities, the strange encounters, and what it was really like to spend time with the Warrens....if you dare 👻

Join us at the East Bloomfield Historical Society on Thursday September 24th at 7pm for Memoir Writing: Inspiration & Instruction. In this program, you will hear from two Bloomfield families about several of their fascinating memoirs that span centuries and span the globe. You will see the gifts that even the simplest memoirs provide to the readers, writers and their families. We will give examples on different approaches to documenting your life or your loved ones' lives, which can provide precious information about genealogy, history, archeology, economy and more. Handouts will be provided outlining what to include in a memoir, how to organize one, how to get started, and research tools.
Even if you're not interested in writing a memoir, come and learn from the families who have some. You will hear about and see memoirs about people who have greatly impacted our town, country, and global history!

As the cool and quiet months approach, what a better time to document your own family's history for generations to come! FREE and open to the public.
