The mission of the DHM is to be the primary destination for discovering and fostering connections to Dunedin's rich history.

The Dunedin History Museum strives to ignite a lifelong love of history among all patrons who grace our museum. || Rated the 2019 Best Historical Museum in Tampa Bay, by Tampa Bay Magazine! Our commitment forms the cornerstone of the museum's exhibits, programs, events, educational initiatives, and collections that contribute to enhancing community pride. Our vision:

Before assuming its current identity, the former railroad station underwent a crucial transformation facilitated by the establishment of the Dunedin Historical Society in 1970. Born out of a desire to preserve local history, the Society successfully saved and repurposed the Andrews Memorial Chapel, solidifying its commitment to safeguarding Dunedin's heritage. Andrews Memorial Chapel is operated and managed by the Dunedin History Museum.

You know the iconic Victoria Drive… but do you know the stories behind your favorite sunset spot? 🌅

Join the museum for our sunset stroll down Victoria Dr and learn the history of the homes! Our historian will walk with you and share decades of lore, including photos, of how this beloved Dunedin location became what it is today. You’ll have a new found appreciation for Victoria Drive the next time you pay it a visit.

Our strolls take place the second Friday of each month. You can visit our website to reserve your spot! ☀️
