🚨 Trivia Tuesday 🚨
Ok everyone! It’s that time of year again—fall term trivia!
For the next 15 weeks, we’re featuring one DHS member each week. We hope you’ll recognize some familiar faces—and maybe discover a shared interest or relatable story along the way!
As awkward as it feels, I’m going first so you can meet the face behind the posts! I’m Lindsey Merrill 👋
I’ve been the DHS Social Media Manager for several years. I love connecting with our community in this “new-age” way, researching Dunbarton history, and volunteering at our events.
I was born and raised in Dunbarton and my husband and I moved back and built our home on the same land where I grew up. My brother now owns our childhood home, and my parents still live there too—so our family roots here remain pretty strong! 💪
Speaking of those roots…

My connection to DHS goes back generations, too. My great-great-uncle was involved in starting the Society.

👉 Some of my favorite childhood memories are actually connected to DHS—helping at ham and bean suppers and going on historical adventures with my dad and the Society. Those experiences gave me a love for local history that never went away.
3️⃣ What DHS trip did I go on as a kid?

🎨 Outside of DHS, I love art, especially watercolor painting, spending time with my husband and two yellow labs, Sunny and Charley, and playing with my niece, Lily!
For me, being part of DHS feels full circle. I get to continue something I loved as a kid while helping carry on something my own family has been involved with for years.
My hope is that younger generations become interested in the stories, buildings, people, and places that came before us—and eventually become the ones who keep it all going.
