The museum and department both loved all the visitors at festifall, despite the rain. We hope to see you all again at Wayne State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences museum day this Tuesday from 2-5! Grab your CLAS-port and make the rounds!

We spotted a spotted lantern fly on campus today and we are not the first! WSU is hosting an event to learn how to monitor and trap lanternflies and recognize and remove their egg sacs. If you see one of these invasive insects squish it! They are bad for our fruit and maple trees!

Extended: Our current exhibition on Fort Archaeology in Michigan will be staying up through mid-October, so if you haven't had a chance to visit yet, you still can!

If you are heading north soon, consider stopping by the excavations at Colonial Michilimackinac. They will be excavating until August 22nd! A great chance to see an archaeological dig in person.

We visited our final summer reading event today, out at Rogue Park. What fun we had with the Edison branch of the Detroit Public Library!
