Spark Gallery invites artists to submit works that use collage as a primary element for a juried group exhibition, “Fragments,” which will be on view in March 2027. Deadline for submission is November 16, 2026.

We encourage submissions that consider how the transformative power of collage might create beauty, assert meaning, process feelings, tell a story, or explore visual relationships. We welcome creative works that reflect the rich history of collage as well as contemporary approaches, including those that might challenge our perception of what a collage might be.

Jill Power’s exhibition, “TEXTURA: Bark/Paper/Fiber,” is on view through August 11.

>>> Bark Fiber Art Demo: Jill will be demonstrating how she works with bark fiber on Saturday, August 8 from 1-4pm. The demo takes about 20 minutes and will be offered on a rolling basis. Drop by and learn more about her work/processes!

“A deep attention to the textures, rhythms, and intelligence of the natural world inspire Jill Powers’ art. She creates primarily with an inner bark fiber, finely processed by hand, reflecting indigenous practices from worldwide communities. She explores materiality as a bridge between living systems, and traditions of making, experimenting with organic shapes and translucency. Circles and curves abound in the art, reflecting our world in motion.”

1) “Spaciously Held (detail),” 2026, bark fiber, 11.5 x 11.5 x 4.5” framed
2) “Turbulence,” 2025, bark fiber, 24 x 18 x .75”
3) “Interconnected,” 2026, bark fiber, papa, and abaca, 20 x 30”
4) “Spirit Vessel IV,” 2026, cast bark fiber, pigment, natural cordage, 24 x 6”

Also currently on view at the gallery: works by Sally Elliott and Mike Herburger. Plan to see these shows!
