Twenty years ago, 910Arts opened its doors.
On Friday, September 4, two exhibitions open at once.
In Kashi Kari Gallery, “The Story of 910Arts: 2006 to 2026” traces this building from
the construction years to today. In Tonantzin Studio 2, “910Arts Artists: 20 Years,
Then and Now” hangs work by alumni and current 910 artists side by side.
And there will be a blank canvas with one question on it: what is 910 Arts? Bring a
marker and answer it.
6 to 9pm. Both shows on view through September 30.
910 Santa Fe Drive, Art District on Santa Fe.
We built a place. People came. Artists made things. The community grew. The
building evolved. And we are still building.
Kashi Kari Gallery. One wall for the construction years, 2003 to 2006, when this
was still 7 Up. One wall for everything since.
Tonantzin Tonantzin Casa De Cafe Studio 2 Alumni and current 910 artists, hung side by side. Then and now,
literally.
A blank canvas, a stack of markers, and one question. Write it, draw it, sign it.
