Soria’s work consists of unique landscapes created from reimagined photographs. Often walking these urban areas, Soria takes photographs on site and assembles the images into pop surreal compositions.

Today is the last day to view 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘶𝘴 in the Back Room Gallery!

In large-scale watercolor on paper paintings and installations, Keren Kroul’s work (Keren Kroul) unfolds in a landscape of memory where time and place collapse into magnificent terrains.

Working on paper, Kroul thinks of documenting, bearing witness. The delicate nature of watercolor comes in and out of focus, recreated as it is remembered. While some images are opaque, reflecting their solid presence in the mind, others are a watery wash, the dissolving of concrete places, lives, and eventually, memories.

⏰Open today from 10am to 5pm
🎟️Free admission

Currently on view:
Mixed media sculpture works by Amarelle Kukići, a part of the group exhibition “Of Nature and Spirit” on view in the Front Gallery of Arts Warehouse through September 26th.

Through surreal imagery and hyper realistic details, Of Nature and Spirit explores the whimsy and mystery of nature and our relationship to it, whether in connection or in conflict. A connection between animals and humans is seen clearly in Amarellle Kukići’s monochrome sculptures. Each piece encourages extended observation as our imagination interprets the seemingly magical realms and stories within the work.

Currently on view - Andrew Soria, “North Miami Towers”, Giclee print on hahnemühle photo rag, 72” x 41”, 2023.

Andrew Soria is a pop-realist photographer known for these hyperreal, large scale cityscape composites. His subjects are iconic architecture, city streets, and overlooked urban details, discovered through the artist’s immersion in a specific area. The new landscapes have a kitschy and nostalgic feel as the familiar imagery encourages connection and memory of somewhere one may have visited before.

Visit “North Miami Towers” and other pieces in Soria’s solo exhibition NEW NOSTALGIA, through September 26th.
