Summer in the studio means it’s time to create.

When the snowbirds head north and South Florida slows down, my season of making begins.

The gallery gets a little quieter, the pace shifts, and I finally have the uninterrupted time to dive into new work. Paintings, textiles, ceramics, wallpaper designs, wearable art—ideas that have been simmering all season long begin to take shape.

This is the part most people don’t see. The experimenting. The sketchbooks. The piles of fabric. The paint-covered hands. The moments when something unexpected appears and leads the way.

While summer may feel like a slower season in Florida, it’s one of the busiest and most exciting times in my studio.

Our last night in town… and we decided to end it with a bang‼️🌈✨

An evening with the one and only Dina Martina—equal parts brilliant, outrageous, hilarious, and completely unforgettable. If you’ve ever seen her, you know. If you haven’t, put it on your list.

We’ve been coming to Provincetown since I was a little girl.

Back then, we were three kids and two grown-ups. Over the years, we’ve become a tribe.

This year, we were missing two very important members of our original crew, and that was felt deeply. 😞 But we carried on the way families do—sharing meals, telling stories, laughing often, and creating new memories together.

I love this magical village by the sea. 🌊

The art, the music, the drag queens, the beautiful weirdness, and the freedom to be exactly who you are never gets old.

Most of all, I’m grateful for the time spent with friends and family who are so very dear to me. The years may change the faces around the table, but the love, connection, and traditions that bring us here remain as strong as ever. ❤️

Here’s to another year of Provincetown magic. ✨🏳️‍🌈

A few years ago, I created this piece as a custom commission. The process was layered and labor-intensive—beginning as a large drawing, then reduced, repeated, printed on linen, stretched, and painted back into by hand.

This week, I received an email from someone who had unexpectedly discovered it years after it left my studio. They had acquired it while sourcing artwork for their small resale business and reached out to learn more about its history. Their mission is to connect beautiful artwork with people who may not otherwise have access to original art, and somehow this piece found its way into their hands.

I’ve always loved wondering what happens to artwork after it leaves me. Where it travels. Who lives with it. What walls it hangs on. The stories it quietly collects along the way.

For whatever reason, this piece found its way back to me for a moment. And I am grateful to know it is still out there, still being seen, and now finding another good home.

There is something beautiful about art continuing its journey long after it leaves the artist’s hands. ❤️
