New this year at Gallery on the Square: A Square on the Square!

FALL in love and SCREAM with delight, as you create a work of art, full of COLOR or FRIGHT!

This is the theme that the Gallery on the Square invites for participation in their “A Square on the Square” art show. Artists are to submit work that is contained in a square from as small as 6x6 inches up to 24x24 inches maximum. Artwork should be turned in by September 30 and will be on display throughout October.

The winner will be voted on by “People’s Choice” so stop by Gallery on the Square, 51 South Washington in Danville, and cast your vote. Besides a cash award, the winner will receive a month in 2027 when his/her work will be featured in the large front north window of the Gallery where it can be viewed and sold. The winner does not have to be a Gallery member. Any adult, professional or non-professional artist may submit their work.

It seems that only county seat towns have a town square, and we are proud to have that in Danville. We are also proud that our town Square hosts many community events to be enjoyed throughout the year. We are a “happening” town, and this is another way to make ART happen.
