Come explore what hope looks like when it takes flight.
“Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul,” wrote Emily Dickinson, metaphorically defining hope as a resilient bird that sings without words and endures even the fiercest “gales.” 🪶
🐦 THE EXHIBITION
Three Pines Studio invites Northern Michigan artists to explore and interpret the enduring theme of hope through the imagery and spirit of Emily Dickinson’s beloved poem, “Hope” is the thing with feathers.
This exhibition celebrates hope as a bird—delicate yet strong, small yet powerful, and always alive within us.
Artists are invited to create work that reflects their own interpretation of hope, resilience, possibility, renewal, or the metaphor of feathers and flight. All mediums welcome. Individual and collaborative entries are encouraged.
🐦 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Submission of Intent deadline: October 15, 2026
To submit, email [email protected] with: artist name, address, email, phone number, medium and brief description.
Artwork must be delivered by November 15, 2026.
🐦 EXHIBITION GUIDELINES
Work must be new and never previously exhibited.
Artwork must be based on the theme.
All work must be original and for sale.
Sales are split 60% artist / 40% gallery.
