Early voting in Montgomery County begins Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Voters may select an 'I Voted' sticker created by locals student now through the general election, Nov. 3, 2026. Congrats to Ava Barclay, Micaiah Frey and Livvy Selleck on their winning designs!

The results are in! Winners in the 'I Voted' sticker contest are Ava Barclay (elementary school), Micaiah Frey (middle school), and Livvy Selleck (high school)! Their designs are now stickers and are available during Montgomery County's 2026 general election starting Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

The Carnegie Museum was recently awarded a $43,000 Indiana Historical Society Heritage Support Grant to support the replacement of the failing Heating & Air conditioning system! Heritage Support Grants are provided by the Indiana Historical Society and made possible by Lilly Endowment, Inc. This grant provides nearly half of the cost of the full HVAC replacement. We are so incredibly grateful for this significant investment in the care of our collections and building of the Museum!

The Carnegie Museum was in good company Thursday at the IHS Heritage Support Grant Award Ceremony. Both the Montgomery County Historical Society and the Elston Memorial Foundation, which manages the DAR Dorothy Q Chapter House, were awarded IHS Heritage Support Project Grants!
