Down 17-10 going into the fourth and they scored the last thirteen points of the game. Broncos 23, Chargers 17.

Nine played The Long Haul and every one of them picked Denver to win. First time all season the room has agreed on anything.

Then Denver finished on 23 and the “more than 24” question took six people down with it. Two points short.

Four tied at six. Jesse Burnham lost the tiebreaker on the combined score, and the other three refused to separate: Robert Gonzales, Greg Munson and Katie Burnham were each off by exactly two. Three tokens. Katie then won the bingo draw as well, so she is walking out with two. And welcome in Greg Bitsie, first card, five points.

Thank you to my momma Chris and to Billy for the chili tonight. It has been somebody different feeding this room every single game. Nobody organized that. Mom brings the popcorn every time.

New rule from Thursday on. If the combined score ties, closest without going over takes it. Write your number accordingly.

Season board: Dante Downey 21, Jesse Burnham 20, Katie Burnham 20, Chris Dorcheus 17, Robert Gonzales 15.

Next one comes fast. Thursday October 15, Broncos vs Seahawks. We’re open from 4 as usual, kickoff is 6:15. Rumor has it there’s green chili coming.

Free to play, free to get in. zugallery.com/broncos

At a Listening Room, the space gives the music its full attention.

Karen and Nancy, thank you for our 34th Listening Room. What you gave us Friday night was something rare.

Thank you to Fawn Curtis, Kristie Anderson-Steele and Kacie Foster-Steele for joining them, and to Keith Steele for the beautiful slide show and the 34th Listening Room coasters. We have about five left, so if you didn’t get one, stop by the ZU.

Here’s some of what we heard afterward:
“The best listening room experience.”
“So grateful for a quiet space to hear the music fully.”
“A breath of fresh air.”
“An amazing contribution to the culture of the county.”
“It was simply amazing and beautiful.”

Thank you to everyone who filled the room, all the way to overflow. And remember that new and improved camera setup we told you about? The live feed ran the whole night without a single drop. If you missed it, the replay is on our YouTube channel.

Our 35th Listening Room is Friday, October 23 at 6:30pm with Moe Cooley and Tomoe on upright bass. Free and open to all.

Sit a bit and just listen.

Breaking news from 48 W Main: Channel 48 has hit the airwaves, and the airwaves have not yet filed a complaint.

Tonight’s premiere was produced by Greg Bitsie and featured KNFRMST, broadcast live with zero edits, zero retakes, and a production budget roughly equal to one glass of house red. Our camera was pointed at the right people almost the entire time. Our live studio audience waved at all the right moments. Our closing credits were written on a dry erase board and held up by hand. History was made. Probably.

Missed it? Your VCR can’t help you, but this link can:

Channel 48 airs every Wednesday at 8pm. Thirty minutes, one act, absolutely anything goes. Bring a handmade sign with your show’s name on it. Crayon is acceptable. Glitter is encouraged. Printouts will be judged harshly.

Please stay tuned. We have no idea what’s on next week either.

Cold Hard CASH is almost here, and we can’t wait to share this night with you.

Every act on this bill lives and plays right here in the Four Corners. Our neighbors, our friends, the people who keep showing up and keep this corner of the world full of music. This time they’re taking on Johnny Cash, with Outlit Sound behind the board.

And yes, the name works twice. The door gets split with the musicians, so your $20 goes straight into the hands of the people who make this town sound like home. Bring your cold hard cash and put it where it counts.

Grab your friends, wear black, and come be part of something great.

There are 1,000 pieces in this box and right now exactly zero of them are where they belong.

This year’s fall puzzle is “City Vibes” by German illustrator Sarah Matuszewski. It’s packed with busy street life: a flower shop, a cafe, a taxi, someone spinning records in an upstairs window, and a lot of strange little characters up to no good. The longer you look, the more you find.

It lives on the table at the ZU until it’s done. Stop in, grab a glass, find a few edge pieces, and leave your mark on it. No sign-up, no rules, just come puzzle with your neighbors. Bonus points if you find the guy in the taxi first.
