A little update...
First, thank you for the messages, prayers, and understanding over the past several days. They have meant a great deal.

My daughter recently underwent emergency surgery following an unexpected medical complication and has been in the hospital for a little over a week. She has responded very well to treatment, and we are thankful for her medical team and the care they have provided throughout this process.

She has been able to step outside with her nurse twice now for a few minutes of fresh air in the hospital’s beautiful healing garden. This special space, designed just for patients and their families, offers a quiet place to enjoy nature and a little sense of normalcy during a difficult time. We are especially thankful for thoughtful spaces like this and for the small moments of healing they provide. ❤️

While we are still waiting to see exactly what the next steps will look like, there is encouraging news. We are hopeful she will be able to continue her recovery outside of the hospital soon. Even after discharge, she will need continued medical care and support as she heals.

I will be staying here in California with her through this next phase of recovery until she is settled with the support she needs at home.

Evoke Studio & Gifts will remain temporarily closed.

At this time, I do not have an exact reopening date, but I will share an update when I have a clearer picture.

I know this affects my artists and those who regularly visit and support Evoke, and I truly appreciate your patience during this unexpected time.
Thank you for giving me grace and understanding as I stay exactly where I need to be. ❤️

A quick note from me—

Due to an unexpected family emergency, I’ll be away from Evoke for a little while. I’m not sure yet exactly what the next several days will look like, so there may be some temporary changes to our regular hours.

I’ll post updates here as I know more.

A quick reminder to my artist friends...

After a wonderful response to last year's inaugural event, we're excited to bring back the Incognito Art Show for a second year. This unique exhibition once again invites artists to create, surprise, and give back while supporting a meaningful cause in our community, benefiting Kaylee's Light Foundation.

The deadline to submit for this year's Incognito Art Show is July 13.

What's the mystery?
Each artwork will be sold for $100, with artist identities remaining anonymous until purchase.

Every piece will be displayed with a numbered tag only—no artist names and no titles. Guests will be invited to guess the artist for a chance to win an available artwork from the show. The gallery will cover the purchase, so participating artists will receive their full payment.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experiment, push your creative boundaries, and create something unexpected.

Artist Eligibility
This juried exhibition is open to all current gallery members, and to non-member professional artists actively exhibiting, selling, or producing gallery-ready work within 100 miles of Padre Island, including Corpus Christi, Rockport, Port Aransas, Kingsville, Beeville, Port Lavaca, and surrounding communities.

Artists may submit up to two original artworks for consideration.
This has quickly become one of my favorite gallery events. Artwork is displayed anonymously, guests try to guess the artist, and together we raise funds for Kaylee's Light Foundation and children receiving care at Driscoll Children's Hospital.

Professional artists within 100 miles of Padre Island are invited to submit up to two original works for consideration.
