A little Evoke update...

I’ve flown home for a bit to check on things here—home, business, and all the things that have been waiting while I’ve been away.
There are still some unknowns with my daughter’s situation, and I may be heading back to California, so I’m not quite ready to say, “I’m back for good.”
But I am here for now, and Evoke will be open while I am. I’ll keep you posted if anything changes.
And if you know me, you probably already know what happens when I have a little downtime... I’ve been creating. 😊
California brought quite a change in weather. I was completely unprepared for those 40-degree mornings, but it was definitely sweater weather and pumpkin spice latte time. 🍂☕
That little taste of the season inspired the first of two new collections I created while I was away from Evoke: “Gathering Fall”—pumpkins, autumn leaves, a cozy latte and a loaded old pickup. It was especially fun for someone who loves fall but doesn’t get nearly enough of it back home on the Island.
Then my drawings took a slightly different turn... “Spooked” came next. 👻🕷️ My daughter’s favorite time of year, so this one is for her.
One startled ghost led to a very nervous spider, a dramatic black cat, a few suspicious mushrooms, moons and stars—and another collection was born.
Both collections began with my original hand-drawn artwork and grew into patterns and products—from stationery and socks to blankets, apparel and even Hey Boo Mommy & Me pajamas. Creating gave me something positive and fun to focus on during some very long days.
And while I was creating, I also gave Evoke’s website some much-needed attention. I am expanding the online Gift Shop to make it more of a shopping experience of its own, with Online Exclusives you won’t find inside the gallery.
Evoke will always be about walking through the doors, discovering the work of our artists and finding something you didn’t expect. But now there will be a little bit more to discover online, too.
Things are still a little unsettled, and we are taking things as they come. But for now, the doors are open, there are some fun new things to share.
