Our NEW American Masterworks Gallery is now, bringing together some of the most celebrated names in American art, including Georgia O’Keeffe, Mary Cassatt, John Singer Sargent, Albert Bierstadt and more!

Featuring extraordinary works from our permanent collection alongside 27 recently acquired masterpieces, this beautiful new gallery offers visitors a fresh look at the artists, stories and creativity that have shaped American art.

Some works of art are even more incredible in person. We can't wait for you to experience them!

There's something special about seeing everyday life through the eyes of an artist.

For Otsego County artist Janet Munro, inspiration was never far from home. Through her colorful folk art paintings, she brought local landscapes, familiar faces, community traditions, and everyday moments to life.

Friday night plans? We’ve got you covered. 🎬

Join us this Friday, October 9 at 6:30 PM for a special showing of the acclaimed 1992 film adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper’s The Last of the Mohicans.

Before the film, enjoy a brief presentation exploring Cooper and artist Thomas Cole, whose work brought scenes from the novel to life on canvas.

Admission is FREE, with complimentary popcorn and water!

Meet Janet Munro through the moments she’s captured in paint.

A self-taught American folk artist based right here in Otsego County, Munro is known for her egg tempera paintings depicting everyday life, local landscapes, regional history, and the people and places around her.

Janet Munro: A Life in Paint brings those moments together in a retrospective that tells the story of her life while inviting us to reflect on the people, places, and memories that shape our own.
