Join us for a Play Session Mon–Fri: 10:00am–12:30pm, 12:30–3:00pm, or 3:00–5:00pm or Sat: 10am-12pm, 12pm-2pm! The museum is Columbia's indoor place for fun! Visit one of our play sessions, host a private birthday party or join us for events throughout the year. There is something for different ages and interests! Did we mention we have a Toy Shop? Are you a high school student age 16 or older who loves working with kids, having fun, and being part of your community? We’re looking for a Playologist to join the aMuse’um Children’s Museum team! 🧡💛

As a Playologist, you’ll help:
🧩 Care for exhibits & play spaces
✨ Sanitize toys & activity areas
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Assist families and team members
🧡 Support daily museum operations
🛡️ Help maintain a safe, clean & welcoming museum

📅 Schedule: Fridays–Sundays + weekdays during school breaks

🐔 Thank You, Chick-fil-A, for Supporting Play!

We’re so grateful for Chick-fil-A’s continued support of aMuse’um and for helping us provide spaces where children can learn through something they do best—play!

Our Chick-fil-A exhibit gives little ones the chance to step into a restaurant all their own. With a drive-thru window, kitchen, and dining area, children can take orders, prepare their own pretend creations, serve customers, and switch roles as their imaginations take the lead.

And while it may look like they’re simply having fun, there’s a whole lot of learning happening along the way! ❤️

Imaginative play like this helps children:
🍽️ Build communication and language skills as they take orders and interact with others
🐔 Practice cooperation and social skills by taking turns and playing different roles
🧠 Strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking as they create their own play scenarios
✋ Develop fine motor skills through hands-on pretend cooking and serving
💡 Grow creativity, confidence, and independence as they make choices and bring their ideas to life

These everyday moments of pretend play are an important part of how young children make sense of the world around them—and we love watching their imaginations at work!

We’re looking for a friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic person to join our Welcome Center staff!

Our Welcome Center team is often the first smiling face families see when they walk through our doors. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, loves being part of a team, and wants to help create a welcoming experience for every family who visits aMuse’um.

✨ What you’ll do:
• Welcome and assist museum guests
• Process admissions and memberships
• Provide excellent customer service
• Help keep the museum clean, organized, and ready for play

📅 Availability: Monday–Friday am & pm shifts
