This morning, several of our Historic Preservation Committee members welcomed the 3rd graders off the bus and into the Montrose Schoolhouse. They were given the opportunity to hear some history on the schoolhouse and ask questions. Afterwards, all the students participated in making their own little historical toys that they could take home. It was a fun time had by all! Thank you Michelle Fournier for organizing the event, Lou and his crew at DPW for prepping the property and to our Colts Neck Fire Police for traffic control!

Interesting read on Joshua Huddy.

Joshua Huddy had an issue with authority long before he took up arms against the British during the American Revolution.
