Strong turnout last weekend at Dr. Cooke’s Medical Office during the Weekend in Old Monmouth. We welcomed over 80 visitors, received thoughtful donations, and had a surprise visit from xx Dr. Claudia Cooke, a fifth-generation family member, who was pleased to see the building so well maintained.

We were also proud to have a Village School student, Alexandria, visit to find her flag on display and celebrate America 250 with us—a meaningful moment that connected local history with the next generation.

While the Holmdel Historical Society is a small group, we remain committed to preserving and maintaining Dr. Cooke’s Medical Office and continuing efforts at Old St. Catharine’s Church—so the community can enjoy and connect with Holmdel’s history.

Ongoing preservation takes consistent care and funding. Without support, these landmarks simply age.

See you at Dr. Cooke’s in Holmdel.

Although chilly today, we had a great turn out on Earth Day at Bayonet Farms. Thank you to The Village School for sharing their celebration of America 250 with The Holmdel Historical Society. Thank you to Rhonda Beck-Edwards, Treasurer of the Holmdel Historical Society, on a thoughtful and inspiring idea brought to life. She prepared the presentation boards to enjoy!

A special thank you to Tricia Barrett, Karli Glynn, and Alicia Faroese at The Village School for their support in making this celebration possible.
