Shows marked * are outdoor shows - bring a sweater! Patio seating is first come, first serve, so our recommendation is also to bring a blanket for extra lawn seating. Seating opens 15 minutes before each performance.

..This show is NOT for Poe purists! Enter at your own risk...

Silliness abounds in this somewhat interactive, entirely unscripted shenanigans-fest! Come witness our seasoned veteran performers revert to their natural forms; a rabid clutch of over-caffeinated theater kids passionately parodying Poe’s masterpieces, lovingly lampooning these timeless texts, throwing off their “respect the source material” fetters, and going completely feral all over classical literature! If nothing else, it’s bound to be fun!

We do not recommend this show for children under 14 years/8th grade.
Show content may include: moderate swearing, suggestive content, even more violence than Poe already brought to the table (we do not use blood/gore, but pantomiming is possible), and a possible intervention for Fortunato’s drinking problem

We may be silly in this show, but we're serious about historical preservation. All proceeds of the Unhinged Show still go directly to the Collings-Knight House. Your ticket purchase funds the ongoing upkeep and restoration of this 200 year old house, and its mission to serve Collingswood and the surrounding community as a historical museum. The Collings-Knight House offers multiple programs every year where we aim to educate our guests on the history of Collingswood and the old Newton Colony, the people who lived here, and what life was like for them.

.. Outdoor Weather Policy ...

In the event of light rain, outdoor shows will go on (tents will cover the patio, but please bring an umbrella or poncho just in case). Severe weather may see these shows moved indoors, at which time we will do our best to accommodate all guests. In the event that we have more guests than seats, ticketholders present at the show will be offered the option of a ticket to a later show, or a refund. The Collings-Knight House invites all our History Friends to celebrate the mid-point of our 200th Anniversary Years with a PICNIC at the House on Saturday, May 16th (Rain date May 17th). Bring your favorite picnic food and blanket; we will supply drinks and desserts. Tables and chairs will be available for those who are not blanket-inclined. There will be games and crafts for this family-friendly outdoor event, and plants to “adopt” for a donation. Our resident Girl Scouts will be in attendance to talk about their historic gardens and there will be House Tours at 1:00 and 2:00 pm. The event runs from 12 to 3 pm; there is no charge, but freewill donations are welcome. RSVP your intent via Facebook, email, or phone (see below).
We would also appreciate some help setting up and cleaning up - students needing service hours are encouraged to step up! Opportunities include setup (11:00 am -12 pm) and takedown (3-4 pm). Baking friends, we welcome your contributions: brownies, lemon squares, cookies etc can be dropped off 11:00-12 on the day of the picnic.
