Clinton Art Gallery is a co-op gallery offering paintings in several mediums, photography, sculpture, and beautiful hand-made artisan gifts. MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Clinton Art Gallery & Coastal Gifts is to foster artistic development and appreciation of all the a

rts in our wider community including promoting artistic collaboration, partnering with other art organizations, supporting educators who share our vision and goals to help shape and enrich the lives of all visitors to the Clinton Art Gallery. Clinton Art Gallery encourages art in a variety of mediums, art classes and artistic workshops. We promote emerging artists by allowing them show/sell space at no charge. Additionally, we sponsor an Art Show & Reception with an opening day/evening, and allow the featured artist to show/sell for 30 days at no charge to the artist for show space.

Why Use a Feather When Sage Smudging a Home?

In many Indigenous and traditional smudging practices, a feather is used to gently direct and distribute the cleansing smoke throughout a space. The feather symbolizes respect for the air element and helps carry prayers, intentions, and blessings as the smoke moves through the home.

Using a feather allows the practitioner to mindfully guide the smoke into corners, doorways, and areas where stagnant energy may collect. The combination of sage and feather encourages a deliberate, respectful ritual that promotes a sense of cleansing, gratitude, harmony, and renewal within the home.

When using a feather, it is important to honor the cultural origins of smudging practices and approach the ritual with mindfulness and respect.
