June Dudley was the first John Steven Jones Purchase Award winner ever, in 1989. She has since been juried into the Bosque Art Classic 14 times.

This year June had “Morning Song,” a 12” x 9” oil painting, juried in by Tim Newton.

Mat Tindell had 5 pieces accepted in this year’s show, including "Shades of Hamlet," a 24” x 18” oil on panel.

The Bosque Art Classic national exhibition and sale will close Saturday, September 26, at 4 p.m. (The online sale closes 2 hours earlier than the in-person sale.)

What a great weekend at the Bosque Arts Center with the 41st Annual Bosque Art Classic! The place was filled with beautiful art, talented creators, and great appreciators. Our thanks to all who make this event possible--the artists, patrons, sponsors, attendees, and volunteers.

Congratulations to Rusty Jones, winner of the John Steven Jones Purchase Award, and to Richie Vios, who took home Gold Medal Water Media and the Art Patrons Purchase Award. Both pieces will join the permanent collection at the BAC.

The show opens to the public Sunday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Then weekly hours will be 10 – 5 M-F and 10-4 on Saturdays through September 26. Make plans to see this outstanding show juried by the wonderful curator and collector, Tim Newton.

The 41st Annual Bosque Art Classic online gallery is now viewable!

Tickets for opening night general admission seats have gone to a wait list—but that doesn’t mean you can’t purchase art that weekend. Contact the BAC at 254-675-3724 to get on the list to purchase remotely Saturday night (after the pre-sales), or make plans to buy in the online sale beginning Monday, September 14, at 10 a.m. CDT.

The exhibition opens to the public on Sunday, September 13, at 11 a.m.

Congratulations to James Swanson, a juried artist in last year's Bosque Art Classic.

Congratulations to James Swanson OPA for winning the Gold Medal in the Associate & Signature Division at the 35th National Exhibition for his painting Destiny of the Rising Sun. The exhibition is hosted by the Steamboat Art Museum through August 29th!hosted by the Steamboat Art Museum! We also extend our congratulations to all of the award winners.
