It’s been a very busy time for The Averbook Magic Art Museum and Library! www.AverbookMusuem.com On Saturday night (8/29/26) we hosted our inaugural Magic in the Museum shows on the Seraphim Stage (designed by Bill Smith of Magic Ventures/Sound and Lighting by Kerry Po***ck). Two one hours shows with up to 30 people experienced the amazing and dynamic magic of Tim Hill! Everyone had a great time!
On Sunday, 8/30/26, I performed my close-up/parlor show for the wonderful women of Temple Emanuel’s Sisterhood. I had the honor of having Sherrie Sperling introduce me to her group. Her husband, Manny Sperling passed away a few years back and was one of my closest friends, a fabulous magician, and is featured in the museum. The sisterhood ladies had fun! They walked away mystified and happy. I don’t have any photos of this because my photographer was so enamored with the show, she forgot to take pictures. If some photographs come up from any of the participants later, I will post these.
The last announcement is that The Averbook Magic Art Museum and Library is featured in the September 2026 (Vol 89. No.9) issue of Genii magazine! This is the preeminent magic trade journal for magicians, and the September 2026 issue marks the 90th year of its existence! The article is entitled ABRACADABRA! It focuses on our loan of 47 pieces to the Jewish Museum of Amsterdam and what is entailed in doing so along with some backstory about the museum. Emile Schrijer is the Director of the Jewish Cultural Quarter in Amsterdam responsible for the Jewish Museum, The National Holocaust Museum, The Portuguese Synagogue, and the Hollandsche Schouwburg (Dutch Theater) which was a formal theater and was overtaken by the N***s during World War II and now serves as a memorial site. Here is the link for Genii magazine if you are a magician and wish to subscribe you can then read the entire article:
