After a quick bath and a wax & shine, we think these pots look pretty fantastic! Each piece is different, each side of each piece is different. Pit firing is full of happy surprises.

Students in Randy's independent study class had the chance to pit fire their pots. Leather-hard pots were coated in terra sigillata, buffed, and then bisque fired. Then the bisqued pots were treated with chemicals and organic matter before the low temperature (but hot!) firing. 24 hours later the pots were recovered! What a fun and unique way to finish pots! Come back to see how they look after the last step - waxing!

To our students and members: bring us your vases and garden sale items this week! See Kim at the desk to get your items into our sale (by Thursday at noon at the latest).

This is one of our most beautiful shows but we need your help! Bring your clippers/shears/greenery/blooms on Friday from 10-2 if you'd like to help make the ✨ magic ✨ happen.

To the community at large, we are excited to share our work with you this weekend. If you've been to this sale before, you know how special it is!
