The Marshall District Library and the Marshall Rotary Club are hosting a Headstone Cleaning Workshop on Saturday, September 19th from 1pm-4pm. This is an excellent way to learn how you can help preserve headstones at our beloved Oakridge Cemetery for generations to come.

The Lincoln Brick Factory made 40,000 bricks per day at its peak, and many buildings around Michigan were constructed using the bricks it produced. The factory was located near Grand Ledge and closed in 1947. In 1975 the property was acquired by Eaton county and it is now a county park aptly named Lincoln Brick Park. The remnants of the old factory still stand in the park where you can wander around and explore the ruins.

Volunteers Needed for Digitization Project! 🎞️📸

The Meridian Historical Village is looking for volunteers to help photograph historic artifacts and upload them into an online collections catalog.

This project is a great opportunity for those who want to help preserve and protect local history!

There will be a training session on Saturday, August 22, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the Meridian Historical Village (5151 Marsh Road, Okemos).
