Together, We Create More.

A community is more than a collection of houses and streets. It is the places where we gather, the traditions we share, and the opportunities we create for one another.

For more than 50 years, Valley Art Center has been one of those places.
A place where a child discovers a love of art. Where an experienced artist finds inspiration. Where neighbors become friends. Where creativity continues at every age.

This fall, we're celebrating the people who make that possible, and inviting you to be part of what comes next.
Because when we invest in creativity, we create more than art.
Together, we create more.

Donate today to support Valley Art Center and the community of artists we serve..

Meet Anna E. Young 📸

As Director of Artist Programs and Exhibitions at Summit Artspace, Anna Young spends her professional life supporting artists. She is also a photographer, printmaker, video artist, and sculptor.

For Anna, those two worlds are deeply connected.

“I also believe that when artists are arts administrators, we possess a distinct superpower!”

Her studio practice helps her understand the successes and struggles of the artists she works with, while her nonprofit work has given her knowledge and resources that feed back into her own creative practice.

And after a long day of arts administration?

“I truly believe that being able to go home and create after my administrative and curatorial work is finished helps shape positive experiences for our exhibiting artists and the artists we serve. I'm typically dealing with many of the same successes and sometimes struggles they may be encountering. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and resources through the nonprofit work I do."

Meet Anna and the other artists featured in Art Works, opening September 11 at Valley Art Center.
