If you’re an artist ages 16–22 in Northeast Ohio, this is your sign to finally submit your work.

The 5th Annual Emerging Young Artists Exhibition at Valley Art Center closes Monday, June 1 at 11:59 PM.

This is a juried gallery exhibition featuring emerging artists from across the region. Selected artists will exhibit professionally in our galleries this summer, compete for cash prizes, and connect with other young creatives.

1 artwork | Any medium | $500 in prizes
Best in Show receives a solo exhibition in 2027

You do not need to have everything figured out to apply. Just submit the work you care about.

Michaelle Marschall will be offering a variety of papermaking and printmaking classes this Summer at VAC!

Michaelle Marschall’s practice includes intaglio, wood lithography, reduction woodblock printmaking, encaustic painting and hand papermaking. She graduated from Lake Erie College with a BFA in Visual Art and a BA in English and holds a Master of Arts in Education from Ursuline College. Michaelle has worked as a museum educator at The Cleveland Museum of Art, an adjunct instructor at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, and led Eastern and Western paper production and taught papermaking workshops at Morgan Conservatory. Michaelle’s art has been featured at the Akron Art Museum, Fawick Gallery at Baldwin Wallace University, Yards Projects, Gallery at 200 Public Square, Transformer Station, and Kenneth Paul Lesko Gallery in Cleveland.

Meet VAC’s Summer Camp instructors! 🌞

Join Kim Mettee for all-day jewelry studio camp, Delainey Wyville for the popular fairy fashion camp, Gabriella West for animation camp, or Zoe Hunter for clay wheel throwing. In addition to these fun and creative camps, your young artist can learn watercolor with Anneke Payne, art from around the world with Mary Urbas, painting with Cara Myers, or art history with Kailey Stec. The 5th Annual Emerging Young Artists Exhibition is now accepting submissions from artists ages 16–22 across Northeast Ohio.

Whether you’re in high school, art school, self taught, experimenting, obsessively creating, or still figuring out your style, this show is for you.

This is a real juried gallery exhibition featuring emerging artists from across the region. Each year, artists have sold work, met other creatives, won awards, and added a professional exhibition to their resumes and portfolios.

Play with glass this summer in Alicia Telzerow’s creative workshops!

Alicia is a Cleveland-native glass artist with a passion for teaching. Her work is sculptural and often botanical in nature, capturing little moments of beauty. With her focus on community and the importance of art in the lives of all, she serves as adjunct faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Art, works in development at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, and loves leading workshops at VAC!
