Blah Blah Blah by Mel Bochner. Bochner’s work is often associated with the Conceptual Art movement, which emphasizes the idea behind the artwork over its physical form. In this case, Blah Blah Blah explores the way communication can devolve into empty or meaningless chatter, challenging the viewer to think about how words function and how meaning is constructed or deconstructed. The repetition of “Blah Blah Blah” suggests the futility or emptiness of certain forms of dialogue, questioning the value of words and how they are used.
