Last night, Cave Creek Museum hosted the monthly Cave Creek
Carefree Chamber of Commerce mixer. If this looks like the chamber office, it is. Due to an emergency plumbing issue we had to move the reception to their offices. But board members, staff and volunteers showed up in force, armed with hors d’oeuvres and cupcakes. Lots of connections were made!

We will be CLOSED again on Friday, October 16. But the good news is that we will be able to OPEN on Saturday! Come to our FREE Porch Party from 1:00-4:30 this Saturday, October 17. Fun for the whole family!

Cave Creek Museum invites the community to celebrate local history, artisan makers and family fun. The event will take place at the museum, which is located at 6140 E. Skyline Drive in Cave Creek. It is free to the public thanks to Kiwanis Club of Carefree.

This special three-hour event, themed “Where Melodies Spark Memories and Objects Tell Stories,” will feature live musical performances, interactive storytelling and hands-on activities.

Nanny Nikki’s Imagination Station: Listen to stories about life in old Cave Creek.

Our own blacksmith will host ongoing "branding" activities. Attendees can take home a custom, hand-forged Spur Cross-branded wood block keepsake.

Cowboy Chaz the Runaway Outlaw: A resident wardrobed interpreter will roam the grounds, spinning rowdy yarns about the mining campus and posing for "selfies" with guests.

Share music and memories at the gazebo: Local musician Darrell Doepke.

Community partners: Representatives from the Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus Pine Council, local business Desert Mermaid and others, will answer questions, talk about upcoming events and offer make-and-take activities for the kids.

Guests are encouraged to bring family and friends to explore the indoor and outdoor exhibits, connect with neighbors and explore the museum, from the new front porch entrance and Veterans Memory Garden to the gazebo and more.

⚒️🤠Get your tickets now to see our unique Arizona Gold Mine Experience! Spend the morning with us as we transport you back to the late 1800s in the Cave Creek Mining District. Come and meet the miners and other townsfolk who will guide you as you enjoy watching the Golden Reef Stamp Mill and other machinery in operation. Watch our working blacksmith and do some gold panning too!

Join us on October 24 for our first stamp mill run of the season! We will be presenting the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month. Get tickets in advance at this link:
