Featured Artist: Judy Lamere

Funky mugs, beautiful glazers, and pottery with personality!

Judy has been working in ceramics for 12 years, creating everything from udin bowls and serving dishes to jewelry bowls, ornaments, and nature inspired pieces.

She's especially excited about her signature Galaxy glaze combination and hopes that each person who sees her work finds a piece they connect with.

Outside the studio, Judy is a retired pediatric dietician, a mom and grandmother, a cat lover, and an enthusiastic traveler. Yes, that's her on a camel!

FEATURED ARTIST: Jennifer Barnett

Take a closer look. You might be surprised what you find.

Jennifer Barnett works primarily in pen and ink, occasionally adding watercolor or acrylic. Her subjects range from faces, trees, and buildings to her more recent explorations of cats and flowers.

"There are lots of images you might not see right away, so the longer you look, the more you see."

Her work invites you to slow down, look again, and discover the little details hidden in plain sight.

Outside of the studio, Jennifer is a proud mother of three and an animal lover.

Featured Artist: Deanna Poelsma

Deanna has worked in ceramics for 18 years, and for the past five has transformed that experience into something you might not immediately associate with clay: jewelry.

Her ceramic necklaces and earrings pair clean, graphic forms with subtle texture and metallic details. Deanna describes what she wants from the finished pieces as “elegant but not overdone”—something that can be dressed up or down and gives you a little extra spark when you wear it.

This year has also brought a new chapter. After welcoming her first baby in April and navigating some time away from making, Deanna says she’s especially excited simply to be back in a good creative rhythm again.

Once you start looking for purple, you find it everywhere. 💜

A little color hunt around CCA Gallery turned up more than we expected. Paintings, wood, fiber—and plenty of shades in between.

Maybe we need to pick another color next. 👀
