POWER SUPPLY WILL INCREASE
Waco Plant is Enlarged
To Handle More Current Here.
The Waco plant of the Central Power Co. is ready for additional power supply to Canton consumers as soon as more current is available from the mammoth generating plant at Windsor, West Virginia, General Manager Frank Golding said Saturday.
Two transformers of 60,000 kilo-watts capacity have been installed to increase the local power output as soon as additional equipment being installed at Windsor develops the power output of the West Virginia plant to produce the maximum carrying load of the Waco transformers.
***This MAY be a picture of the Windsor Power Plant. Our research for pictures of the plant provided several which don't always look similar to each other. We can't attest to the accuracy of identification done by others. We've also included a picture of the historical marker for the 'Village of Power', an interesting documentation of a housing concept frequently done in the early 1900s by large companies.
