Who do you feel shaped Montana's mining industry?

It could be a Copper King. But, maybe it was...
⚒️ That miner whose safety-first attitude kept everyone around them safer.
⚒️ An engineer who solved seemingly impossible problems.
⚒️ A geologist who discovered what nobody else could see.
⚒️ A teacher who inspired generations of miners.
⚒️ Or someone working outside the mine fence who strengthened the entire community.

If someone just came to mind - nominate them for the Montana Mining Hall of Fame!

Nominations aren't just for famous executives or traditional mining careers. They're for EVERYONE who made Montana mining better. The unsung heroes. The everyday people. The innovators. The advocates.

Ever wonder what really goes on behind the scenes at the ? Sure, we welcome thousands of visitors who want to experience Butte's wildly historic story... but that's just the beginning!

We're also:
• Rescuing forgotten treasures from basements, garages, and storage sheds
• Preserving and documenting Butte's stories, photos, and archives
• Creating a community gathering space for locals
• Educating all ages about mining - past and present
• Building new exhibits with cool technology
• Collaborating with other museums and institutions
• Showing up for Butte at community events

In other words, we're doing a lot more than just showing off cool old stuff! (Though we do love that too!!)

None of this magic happens without our incredible staff, volunteers, and community support. We're grateful for each and every one of you who make our mission possible!

There's still time to nominate someone for the Montana Mining Hall of Fame!

Think about it - do you know someone whose story deserves recognition? It could be your grandfather, a former coworker, a teacher, a volunteer who's kept Butte's history alive, an advocate for miners' rights, or someone working in mining today.

Three ways to make Montana mining history:
⚒️ Legacy Honoree - historic contributions before the 1970s
⚒️ Contemporary Contributor - retired folks who shaped modern mining
⚒️ Industry Impact Award - educators, advocates, preservationists, and community partners

You don't need to work for a mining company to nominate - just a story worth recognizing. It's easy to nominate online!

Parents! Are your children outgrowing their clothes faster than you can keep up?

🤯 Don’t throw them away—swap them! We are thrilled to invite you to a community Kids’ Clothing Swap, the Last Miney’s Shift Change event.
This is the perfect way to get "new-to-you" outfits while making sure your loved items get a second life. We are accepting sizes infant to child’s 10. Everything must be clean and in good, wearable condition.

How it Works:
1️⃣ BRING YOUR CLOTHES: Drop off the sizes your child has outgrown (please ensure they are clean & in good shape).
2️⃣ SWAP THEM FOR SIZES: Take home the sizes that fit your growing child now!

Admission is FREE! Come discover new outfits and join the local community in sustainable fashion.
