Dad turns 83 today! The 83 year old who goes like he is 38! I believe the appreciation you all show for him is a huge factor in his motivation to keep pushing forward. He loves talk to all of you, at a show, at a gas station or even lunch. We will all be at the US Nationals in Indy in 2 weeks and plan to make some very special announcements. For today though, wish the ole man a Happy Birthday, I'll make sure he see's them later tonight!

Better to blow the right rear this week vs on the way to Indy. Thankful for what appears to be cosmetic damage only. Could have been really bad! Getting it changed out now and back on the road!

Jonathon finally got to fire up his roadster. It has been almost a year since the rod exited the previous motor at the US Nats. Work has kept the nephews very busy, limiting their racing. New bullet, new trans and new converter. Jason was handling transmission fluid duties, hence the odd seating arrangement. I, of course, was not going to let them go without a picture 😀. Testing tomorrow with fingers crossed things are ready for Super Gas at Indy!

Pebble beach car week is a lot of things, but it rarely celebrates drag racing. Was excited to the Dyno Don Nicholson car at the Quail. Even better, I got a video of them running it! Was fun to catch up with Nicholson’s Nephew and talk shop. Has been a fun week meeting car people from all over the world.

Congratulations Kyle Kohr!!!! Kyle took is legal SS/AH Barracuda with a 20 year old Barton powerplant to Numedia Dragway Summer Slam win this past weekend!!! But wait there's more. Kyle ran the SS/AH Hemi Barracuda in no box and advanced to the finals to then take on the winner of the Delay Box class. He was in that final in that class as well with his Super Stock Dart. After having breakage in the finals with the Dart he then had to Run the Dragster for the "Battle of the Belts" Kyle had a .007 Reaction time in the Cuda and secured the win. Remember you can't bracket race a Hemi car, I'm glad Kyle didn't drink that Kool-Aid. Kyles car was featured in the McCandless Collections Tent 2 years ago at the Chrysler Carlisle Nationals.

Found a few items while cleaning up some files today. It’s a 1975 NHRA press kit for the 1975 Winternationals. Would consider selling PM if interested. Has all the Winternational winners up to 75.

Starting soon you'll start to see profiles on some of the cars that we'll be selling at Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville, GA Oct 16-17th. My goal was to have 100-120 cars, mixed with advertising. We're already past 120 cars consigned. I wanted to have an auction not driven by just car value, but COOL cars. Cars that had history, fun stories or cars that just put a smile on your face. Even if you don't buy something, I hope you leave learning something about a car you didn't know about or got more details on. Our headliners are of course the Kindigit cars and the Liquid Carbon FGT. Almost all of your car magazines will have advertisements starting this month, online content will be hitting soon. Apologize in advance for what my next 90 days will be 🙂. Here is a short article that dropped today about the auction. Look forward to seeing everyone in October!
