Alamance Arts is excited to host a FREE Artist Trading Card (ATC) workshop on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 10:30 to noon.
Local artist and ATC enthusiast Karen Chin will lead this workshop. Join a community that connects through creation and trade with no rules (except cards must be 2.5" x 3.5" and no selling).
This workshop is free, but donations are welcome.
Registration is requested, but drop-ins are welcome.

Registration is now open for our Holiday Arts & Crafts Workshop Series for Middle Schoolers. This popular series begins on Monday, Nov. 9 at Burlington Artist League and runs through Nov. 30. Students will create a variety of projects - all perfect for either holiday decorating or gift giving. Plus, they'll learn new skills in the process. Open to all levels and taught by local artist Carolyn Langley.
The cost is only $75 and includes all supplies.

We’re excited to host a pumpkin carving event on our front lawn as part of the Graham Recreation and Parks Department’s 7 Nights of Fright!
Contest registration is open. We’ll also be at Pumpkin Bash with a decorated trunk and lots of treats and our Dancing Witches will perform.

NEW FOR 2026! The fright begins before the Downtown Graham Pumpkin Bash! Graham Recreation & Parks is kicking off Halloween week with 7 Nights of Fright, a week filled with spooky surprises, festive activities, and Halloween fun as we count down to the big night!

7 Nights of Fright - NIGHT 3: Pumpkin Carving Contest
Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2026
Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Ages: 13 & up: pumpkin carving | 12 & under: pumpkin decorating
Cost: Free; pumpkins & carving supplies provided (registration required; space is limited)

About: Show off your pumpkin-carving skills at the Pumpkin Carving Contest! Get creative this Halloween with Graham Recreation & Parks and Alamance Arts at a fun community pumpkin-carving and decorating event on the front lawn of Alamance Arts. Ages 13 and older can put their carving skills to the test, while children ages 12 and under can get creative with pie pumpkin decorating. Whether your design is spooky, silly, or uniquely creative, we want to see what you can create! Pumpkins for decorating will be provided by Steve’s Garden Market & Butchery, and individuals ages 18 and older are welcome to bring their own pumpkin-carving supplies. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early! Enjoy interactive games and activities with the Park & Play Mobile Recreation Van while you create. Pumpkins entered in the contest will remain at Alamance Arts throughout the week for community judging, with the winner announced Monday, November 2. Prize: TBA.

There's something BIG happening on November 6, and we want to make sure you don't miss it!

Be sure to make plans to visit the Mebane Arts & Community Center soon to view "The Splendor of Fall" featuring the works of local artist, Judy Madren.
The color palette will warm you, even as Fall's crisp, cool breeze brushes against you.
And, if find a piece you love, you are able to purchase from the exhibit.

Come visit Alamance Arts before October 28 and view some amazing digitized prints that were created from negatives belonging to the famous photographer Hugh Morton. This exhibit features some of his lesser-known and seldom-seen works and provides context and stories around each one.
Morton passed 20 years ago this year and held many accolades. He was also well known for his connection to Grandfather Mountain, which he inherited in 1952.
“Photography by Hugh Morton an Uncommon Retrospective” was curated by Stephen Fletcher with UNC Public Library.
