We graduated with a History degree from Taylor Murphy-TX State University. This is amazing. 👏👏

A Texas State professor has earned an incredibly high honor.

James McWilliams, a history professor at Texas State University, was recently named a Pulitzer Prize finalist in Biography for his book 'The Life and Poetry of Frank Stanford'. The book explores the life and work of poet Frank Stanford and was the result of nearly a decade of research, including interviews with more than 200 people connected to Stanford’s life.

McWilliams began the project while researching post-World War II Southern culture and ultimately focused on Stanford as a way to tell a larger story about the American South, poetry, and culture. The recognition places both McWilliams and Texas State University on a national stage.

At Memorial Mini Golf everyday is Memorial Day, every hole is a memorial to a local WW2 veteran and tells their story. We should never forget their ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. God bless our veterans, past, present and future 🫡
