We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our colleague David Parsons.
David Parsons, affectionately known as Dave, served as the Education and Membership Coordinator and was a dedicated member of the Brownsville Historical Association team from September 2016 onward. He welcomed countless visitors while working at the front desk of both the Heritage Museum and Stillman House Museum, becoming a familiar and friendly face to all who walked through our doors.
During his time with the Association, Dave contributed to important projects, including the cataloging of names from the Old City Cemetery, and worked tirelessly to support our many programs and events. If you’ve attended a Brownsville Historical Association event, chances are you were greeted by Dave’s warm smile and kind presence. His dedication, enthusiasm, and genuine love for our community left a lasting impact that will be fondly remembered by staff, volunteers, and visitors alike.
Dave you have left impossible shoes to fill with everything that you would do. You will be greatly missed.

Due to severe weather and flooded roadways, tonight's First Friday has been postponed. The safety of our vendors, performers, staff, and attendees will always come first.

We know many of you were looking forward to a night downtown, and we're just as disappointed. The good news is that we'll be working to reschedule and will share a new date as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Downtown. Please stay safe and avoid flooded roadways.
