In 2017—with the help of a generous grant from the Century Arts Foundation—the Children's Museum of the East End launched the East End’s first coding-club designed specifically for children of Spanish-speaking families. Incorporating elements from Girls Who Code and Google’s Made With Code curriculums, this initiative has proved so popular with families in the community that the Museum can no longer accommodate the demand. Help the Children’s Museum bring this program to school districts throughout the East End by making a donation today. Visit wwww.cmee.org for more information.

As Cantemos--the Museum's weekly literacy program for Spanish speaking families--nears its 10th Anniversary, we couldn't be prouder of the students and parents who have joined us throughout the years. Hundreds of families have sung, danced, and read along with Miss Leah since 2010, many of whom remain actively engaged with CMEE. Whether they're volunteering at Museum, participating in our after school STEAM programming, or simply joining us to play, we're grateful to have the opportunity to watch this incredible group of moms, dads, and kids grow and thrive here in the East End.

“We just bought out first home (we rent in the city) in Bridgehampton. The museum was only 10 minutes away from us—we saw the sign and went in to check it out. The boys LOVED it. I immediately bought an annual membership and it was the best investment I ever made! We visit as often as we can! We live in the city, but spend most of our weekends in Bridgehampton—we make it to the Musuem every time we are there! We love it all! From the giant chess set for my older son to the art room, fire engine, ice cream store, and indoor/outdoor playrooms it’s seriously the best museum. We never get bored!”

Member Spotlight: Aprillina S. and Axel

“Axel is an energetic & curious 1-year-old boy. We started going to CMEE when he was 2 months old to attend Baby & Me classes that he loved. Around 10 months, he had his 1st of many steps in the Museum's padded baby area. What amazing memories we have there!

“Now, we often do playdates at CMEE so Axel will get a lot of stimulation (and finally nap after 😂). We both love everything about this place from its friendly staff, awesome activities, fun gym area, and the playground. Axel's favorites would be driving the fire engine, making awesome art, playing in the windmill and riding the small bikes outside. Thank you CMEE & all of the staff for the fun times we have there!”
