Whoa!!!

Something exciting is underway at Hoover Dam!

Together with our partners at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Bureau of Reclamation is helping kick off the “Road to America 250” in a big way. A massive American flag, stretching nearly the size of a football field, now hangs across the face of Hoover Dam, marking the start of a special celebration.

Each evening, Hoover Dam will glow in red, white and blue, giving visitors an early look at a patriotic display that will continue to grow as we approach July 4.

Join us in this historic celebration between now and July 4 to see the display in person and get a preview of what is still to come.

Did you know that we have more than 33,000 artifacts we maintain between the library, the historic hotel basement, the museum and the research room? And we are working hard to document, preserve and make available online all of them? Kudos to this small but mighty team!
