With mythology in the current cultural zeitgeist, Childs Gallery has curated a new online exhibition examining the reinterpretation of Greco-Roman myth across artistic media. Reimagining Myth includes paintings, sculpture, prints, and drawings from artists such as Will Barnet, Bryson Burroughs, Donald De Lue, Ruth Eckstein, John MacConnell, Louise Nevelson, Guglielmo Plüschow, Jan Saenredam, and others.

Reimagining Myth is available to view on our website through September 13, 2026.

New England Summer is an ode to beaches, boats, sunshine, and outdoor fun! The new online exhibition features paintings, watercolors, and prints capturing the essence of our favorite season in New England!

New England Summer includes work by Helen Adams, Jason Berger, Leo Blake, Henry Botkin, William Partridge Burpee, Joan Hall, Molly Luce, Karen Lee Sobol, Arnold Trachtman, Beatrice Whitney Van Ness, and many others. The show is available to view on our website through September 6, 2026.

As we look forward to a new era for Childs Gallery at 22 Beacon Street, we're also fondly reminiscing about the past. We're going through our archives and want to share some special images of the gallery from days gone by!

In the 1950s, the gallery's main floor was an exhibition space and the upstairs served as a restoration studio.

What will the new gallery look like? We can't wait to show you!
