Some of these fossils are millions of years old, and now we’re bringing our real finds from the field to our Whatnot lives.

🌊 I finally explored one of the Finger Lakes’ most breathtaking waterfalls, and it did not disappoint!

Buttermilk Falls State Park in Ithaca, New York is famous for its foamy white cascades, towering cliffs, and beautiful gorge that was carved by glaciers thousands of years ago. Walking the trail feels like stepping into another world, with waterfalls, stone staircases, and incredible views around every corner.

Have you ever visited Buttermilk Falls? Let me know your favorite New York waterfall in the comments!

Ithaca Falls is one of New York’s most stunning waterfalls, dropping nearly 150 feet through a dramatic gorge in the heart of Ithaca. Beyond the breathtaking views, these rushing waters once powered mills that helped shape the city’s early history.

If you’re planning a Finger Lakes adventure, this is one stop you won’t want to miss.

Have you ever visited Ithaca Falls, or is it still on your New York bucket list? Let me know in the comments!

🍕 Exploring local food finds in Central New York! Today I stopped at Toss & Fire Pizza in North Syracuse to try their wood-fired pizza and check out their wings. From the fresh-made crust and smoky oven flavor to the crispy wings, this spot definitely caught my attention.

Have you tried Toss & Fire yet? What should I check out next in Syracuse? 👇

Think you’ve seen all of Delphi Falls? Most visitors never make it to this hidden viewpoint beneath the waterfall. I carefully made my way below the falls to reveal a side of this incredible Central New York destination that most people miss. The sound, the mist, and the view from underneath make it feel like a completely different place.

Would you climb down to see this hidden perspective, or stay on the main trail? Let me know in the comments, and follow CobbledStoneCastle for more hidden waterfalls, forgotten places, and outdoor adventures across New York!

Every signal tells a story. Today we uncovered a collection of forgotten artifacts, including an old copper necklace, a weathered leather hat, a mysterious silver backing piece, and what appears to be a pressed lead New York Central Railroad token. You never know what’s waiting just beneath the surface, and that’s what keeps every metal detecting adventure exciting.

Which find is your favorite? Let me know in the comments, and follow along for more real-world discoveries, hidden history, and outdoor adventures!
