Thank you to Tasha Hartloff Cox and Anne Means Carlsson, our first two Landscapes for Life collectors! Because of them, two people fighting cancer will soon receive a piece of art of their own. Thank you for believing in this idea and helping me get Landscapes for Life started.

We’re actively working with Cancer Support Community to find the right recipients for those first two gifted prints.

Now I want to finish what we started.

There are 8 Blue Falls prints still available, and each one purchased means another print will be gifted to someone fighting cancer. My goal is to sell all 10 and bring a little beauty, comfort and joy to 10 people going through cancer.

Blue Falls is $130. Each purchase buys one print and gifts one.

Over the last few weeks, Adam has been working on a special project helping to bring Claude Meadow's Store back to life.

Once a thriving rural grocery store in Lawrence County, the owner is restoring it to look and feel like it did when he was a child. There aren’t many little country stores like this left, which makes this project pretty special.

Adam had the opportunity to recreate some of that history by hand-painting 13 signs to match the original look of the store.

Here are photos from yesterday when we hung the signs. The store plans to open for business for the first time in decades, next spring!

While my dad was fighting cancer, he spent a lot of time lying in bed staring at blank walls or television sets.

So I decided to paint him a three-panel landscape.
The effect that painting had on his mood and spirit really moved me. It made me realize that art could be more than something beautiful hanging on a wall. It could bring peace, comfort and a little piece of the outside world to someone during one of the most challenging times in their life.

That painting became a small window for my dad into a beauty and a world he could no longer fully experience. The peace it brought him has become a treasure in our family.

Now, through Landscapes for Life, I hope to bring that same feeling to others fighting cancer.

I have 8 of these Blue Falls prints still available for $130. For every print purchased, an identical print will be gifted to someone facing cancer.

We’ve already sold the first two, and over the coming weeks, we’ll be presenting two cancer fighters with their very own prints.

Today was a big day!

I spent the day in Ferdinand and officially finished the south-facing wall I began back in May. Aside from a few small details, that wall is complete, and I’ll now be moving on to the west-facing wall. The ribbon cutting for the entire project is planned for October 10th in Ferdinand.

But today brought another milestone that means just as much to me. We sold our very first Landscapes for Life print.

This is incredibly meaningful. Landscapes for Life is a vision I’ve carried for more than four years, and while this is still only the beginning, seeing that first print find its home is something I’ll never forget.

I’m incredibly grateful to my newest Landscapes for Life collector for believing in this mission, investing in my art, and helping me bring a little joy to someone fighting cancer right now.
