Next Tuesday, 10/14 at 6pm we will be hosting Grant Gilsdorf for an insight into his work. Please join us!

Grant Gilsdorf is a figurative painter whose work explores themes of history, identity, and collective memory through the lens of academic realism. Drawing inspiration from classical techniques and contemporary narratives, Gilsdorf creates psychologically charged portraits and allegorical scenes that probe the tensions between tradition and modernity. His practice often reflects on the symbolic roles of individuals in larger social constructs, inviting viewers to confront the stories we inherit and the roles we perform.
His work has been exhibited nationally in solo and international group exhibitions, including shows in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Berlin, and London.
He currently lives and works in Columbus, OH, where he continues to investigate the interplay between realism and metaphor in the human image.
