🎬 Step into a world of suspense, mystery, and cinematic history with Maltz Films Presents: Panic in the Streets (1950) w/ Post-film Discussion

On Wednesday, June 17 at 6:30 PM, join us for a special screening of this acclaimed thriller produced by Sol Siegel and directed by legendary filmmaker Elia Kazan.

When a murder victim is discovered to have been carrying a deadly case of pneumonic plague, what begins as a criminal investigation quickly becomes a desperate race to prevent a citywide epidemic. Set against the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans, the film masterfully blends film noir, crime drama, and public-health suspense into a gripping story that remains remarkably relevant and engaging.

The evening includes more than the film itself. Guests will also enjoy authentic newsreels and a cartoon from 1950, a historical introduction by Ygal Kaufman, and a post-film discussion that explores the movie's production, themes, and the contributions of the many Jewish artists involved in bringing it to the screen.

Whether you're a classic film enthusiast, a lover of Hollywood history, or simply looking for an unforgettable night at the movies, this is a screening you won't want to miss.
